Drink the stars.
Handmade, artisan, bio-dynamic and toxin free botanical perfumes.
Scent has forever been the ritual pleasure of the geisha, seductress and mystic. Scent is that invisible force that moves and inspires you to be something higher than your earthly self. Scent taps you into the well of memory and mythos that lives within everyone of us; as a myth is not something that has happened but is happening all the time.
It has been my experience and experiment to engage with this strange magic to invoke qualities for a certain purpose; to invoke the god/goddess within her many forms. I use the stars as a guide, to receive the messages that wish to be heard and point towards the past and the future. I use the flowers to brings those voices to life.
I offer you perfume as a magic potion, as role play. You wanna channel your inner femme fatale? I suggest Lilith. You wanna conceive a child? For that Selene, or the fertile Cancerian scents of white night bloomers. Or maybe you've suffered a recent heartbreak and are soul-searching. For that I would prescribe Psyche, the soul mate of Eros. Whatever it is that you wish to create for yourself to become more whole is a journey to be discovered through the use of scent and the imagination. What we think and feel becomes our reality. So if we tap into the sacred well of our subconscious mind which scent is so intimately connected, then we can project our reality and become the manifestors and creators of this multiverse.
“Heaven and hell are within us, and all the gods are within us. This is the great realization of the Upanishads of India in the ninth Century B.C. All the gods, all the heavens, all the world, are within us. They are magnified dreams, and dreams are manifestations in image form of the energies of the body in conflict with each other. That is what myth is. Myth is a manifestation in symbolic images, in metaphorical images, of the energies of the organs of the body in conflict with each other. This organ wants this, that organ wants that. The brain is one of the organs.” -Joseph Campbell
A note about 100% Natural Perfumes and Candles
Unlike most magic oils & candles on the market, I don’t use dyes or synthetic fragrances, “fragrance oils,” chemical extenders like DPG, soy wax, or mineral oil.
Everything I use is 100% natural—either raw herbs, resins and/or essential oils - 90% organic and/or wildcrafted—in a base of jojoba, beeswax or coconut wax, or organic undenatured alcohol.
All are conjured under astrologically appropriate transits.
Because they contain no fragrance oils or synthetics, their scent tends to be both more subtle and more complex than synthetic fragrances. You may also see particles in the potion. This is of course natural. Just shake and you’re good to go. These will actually help extend the scent. The scent can linger for a couple hours; only synthetic fragrances last all day or fill a home with scent.
Why not use synthetics? - which are stronger, more predictable, and come in flavors like "metallic" and “ocean?”
Because we haven't evolved to tolerate them (so they can have a lot of health issues for us.)
I believe in the smell of real plants, because plant products change with climate & location (the ingredient has a personal history), and because plant scents can help us tune into the currents of magic.
Scent feeds the soul.
Junk food is okay sometimes (I personally love Nag Champa incense and Doritos which are literally "choke" full of chemical synthetics), but for a sustainably nourishing diet, choose 100% natural ingredients lovas!
BEWARE when companies use lines like this when listing ingredients:
-Made with essential oils- this usually means there are oils in the product as well as synthetics if they do not explicitly state it is 100% natural
-fragrance oils- these are also synthetics
It may take some time to be able to appreciate the natural fragrances after being used to synthetics but in time you will be able to tell the difference in multiple ways.
